Miles de personas se desplazaron por mar en barcos, motos de agua y lanchas para acudir como cada año a una de las procesiones más emotivas y llamativas de toda la isla. El tramo de mar entre Arguineguín y Playa de Mogán se llenó de colores, ruidos de las bocinas de los cientos de barcos, así como con gritos de “viva la Virgen del Carmen” que no cesaron de una punta a la otra del recorrido. En este acto participan tanto los grandes como los más pequeños por el sentimiento que a todos produce esta travesía religiosa. Así, el Ayuntamiento de Mogán organizó una excursión para que los mayores del municipio con movilidad reducida no se perdieran la procesión.
