New Suites - Hotel Cipriani now features three totally renovated Guinness Suites, named after three sisters from the famous Irish Guinness family who were friends with the hotel’s founder, Giuseppe Cipriani. A great deal of thought and care has gone into recreating the suites, not only to ensure that they are elegant and fresh but also so they stay true to the history of the hotel. Every detail has been thought of; furnishings have been lovingly made by the talented Venetian Rubelli family (whose company was founded in 1858 and produces hand-made fabrics using traditional techniques), all interior decorations are fashioned by local artists, the mirrors are produced by the Barbini Brothers (a historical Murano family, whose roots date back to the 17th Century when they created mirrors for the royal palaces in Versailles), lamps are made by Gianni Seguso (a Murano and Venetian chandelier) and the headboards of the beds have been refurbished with antique gold leaf, all of which combine to create a genuinely graceful Venetian atmosphere.

The Guinness Suite on the ground floor of the hotel features a living room, bedroom and private terrace with views over the lagoon. The floor of the terrace has been restored by ‘Maestro Fogliatta’, the son of the original artist who made many of the ornate floor and wall decorations when Hotel Cipriani first opened. The second and third Guinness Suites are set on the first and second floors of the hotel and feature wonderful views over the lagoon or pool.

Not one to do a job by halves, Hotel Cipriani has also renovated its Pool Suites all of which now feature Venetian decorations, incredible contemporary Murano glass lamps in bold greens, reds and blues, white marble bathrooms and private terraces with direct access to the pool.
