$10 million project eyed for downtown Albany, Ga.
Plans are in the works for a $10 million mixed-use development along Front Street in downtown Albany, Ga., that would include retail and housing, reports the Albany Herald.
A source told the Albany newspaper the deal is still in the early stages, and that Albany real estate developer Bob Brooks is behind the project.
Aaron Blair , Albany's downtown manager, confirmed Brooks is interested in a big development downtown, the newspaper reported.

According to police, 31-year-old LeCory Sherrod Walker was found shot in the leg at 509 South McKinley Street Sunday afternoon.
Police say he was shot after getting into an argument with the suspect--they don't know what the two were arguing about.
